THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE DOODLE'S SIDE

The Wog and The Doodle's father finally downloaded the pictures from his iphone. Oldies but goodies abound:

A day at the playground with The Doodle and his Daddy:

On weekend mornings The Wog and her father head out to their favorite local coffee shop, owned by her friend Lily's parents. There are some very big chairs there:

Relaxing with Grandpa:

Hanging with the Humpty:

CAN YOU TELL THE WOG AND THE DOODLE HOW TO GET TO SESAME PLACE?

Hugging Zoe:

The Doodle was intrigued:

The Wog didn't want to go on the carousel because the horses went up and down. The Doodle had no such objections:

Climbing up:

And up:

The Wog really liked this slide:

Watching the parade:

The mathematician's wife's favorite Sesame Street character is....The Count, of course!

EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE, EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE, WE'LL BE WOGGING YOU

The Wog's got wheels!

(There's probably a restraining order out on The Wog's father by now as he has been stalking this car around town for months trying to get a good picture. It's a good thing this cute car isn't pink; otherwise, it might require a major security system upgrade.)

BUT NOT THE DOODLEPOTAMUS

Finally, some pictures from our trip to New Jersey!

The Wog had a great time at Gianine's baby shower once we convinced her that no actual showering would be involved. (The Wog is a bath kind of girl.) Alas, no pictures with Neen, but The Wog immensely enjoyed visiting with her cousins:

Lookalikes:

The Wog also got to visit with her cousins at their lovely new home ten minutes from Minnie and Pop-Pop. We plan to wear out our welcome (just kidding!) on future trips. But seriously. The Wog LOVES cousins. Alas, it is not so easy to get a decent picture of seven kids; I did my best.

We also hit Camden's Adventure Aquarium which was really cool. Anyone who has been to an aquarium with me might already know that I typically subscribe to a "You've Seen One Fish You've Seen Them All" philosophy. Apparently, I've overcome this--or fish (and aquariums) have gotten way cooler because I was as into it as the kids.

Hippos coming:

The Wog wants in:

The Doodle enjoyed the Aquarium too:

He also enjoyed his pretzel:

Sweet, sweet Leo:

Peering at one BIG turtle:

Petting the sharks:

(I never thought the words "poor sharks" would leave my mouth (fingertips? keyboard?), but these sharks were so heavily handled the facility had to close for 15 minutes so they could be a much-needed "break.")

All that sightseeing wears a Doodle out. Here he is, napping with Pop-Pop:

PRINCESS POSING 101

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF WOGS, II

The Wog: "I love cotton candy." (She's never actually had cotton candy.)

Continuing: "I love candy, but always people don't want me to have some."

WOGIO SILENCE

We've been radio silence for nearly a full week now, which might be a record for The Wog Blog. We've had good reason, though: we've been on the road! The Wog and The Doodle are having tons of funs in New Jersey--visiting with Minnie, Pop-Pop and Aunt MB; swimming, swimming, swimming; meeting Zoe ("but not Grover, Mama! I don't want to meet Grover Mama!"); viewing some enormous hippos; attending pajama party concerts; and hanging out with much-adored cousins. Lots of photos are coming when we're back in New Hampshire this weekend, but in the meantime, just one:

TO STORYLAND WE GO!

We spend many days of our summer at Storyland--the perks of living so nearby and a really inexpensive season pass. Today we headed there with Chloe and Phoebe, and everyone had a great time (aside from getting caught out in a giant rainstorm).

Checking in on that Big Bad Wolf again:

A visit to the Three Little Pigs, where The Wog insists on hearing the story over and over and over again. (Thanks, Minnie!):

The Wog is quite at home around a Princess:

All the Princesses together:

Surprisingly amicable tandem tractor-driving:

A WOGGY ENDING

Today was a rainy, overcast day so The Wog's friend Lily came to play, and then we went to Friendly's to celebrate the end of their first year of school.

I couldn't get them to sit for a picture.

But they got a big kick out of hiding behind their menus.

The Doodle had a great time, too. He spent the whole meal making eyes at a sweet woman who we later discovered was exactly 90 years his senior.

We just got a new carseat (Sunshine Kids Radian--it's awesome!) that allows us to fit three across the backseat. Here they are all snugged in and happy.

PARENTHOOD EXPIRT

We celebrated Father's Day with bagels at our favorite coffee shop and a trip to Storyland. It was a low-key celebration (just as requested) but we all had a good time.

With his babies:

The Wog was in this position for about 10 minutes. What was she peeking at?

Little Red and her "Grandma"!

Hanging with Humpty:

A reluctant first time in the baby ballpit:

He enjoyed participating from afar: (And he was determined to get one of those balls, which he did!)

The Wog is all about the ballpit:

One Wog, baked in a pie:

The Doodle liked the tractor ride, though:

Not so Itsy-Bitsy:

"Milking:"

Also, I just came across this picture from Minnie and Pop-Pop's last visit. Happy Father's Day Pop-Pop and Grandpa!
