DADDY'S WOG

We'll usually swing by The Wog's father's workplace if we're in the neighborhood--to brighten his day with a visit from The Wog. She has gotten familiar with this route, and will usually yell for "Daddy!" when we're parked out front. Last night we picked him up at work because one of the cars was in the shop. As we turned off the main road toward his office she yelled, "I coming, my Daddy!" The Wog loves her Daddy.

A JAILBIRD WOG

Finally, I can post pictures!

We headed to Storyland last weekend, and The Wog had a blast.

Here she is, riding in a "chicken" boat.

A WOG WHO WANTS "SECONDS"

I'm having difficulty uploading pictures today so this will just be a little story.

If The Wog wants more of something during a meal or snacktime, she will usually say and sign "more." She had an early breakfast with her father over the weekend while I slept in; later that day, he informed me that he was almost sure the Wog requested "seconds." Sure enough, the next day after she polished off some blueberries after lunch, I heard it for myself: "Seconds! Seconds! Seconds!"

The Wog pretty much exclusively eats her meals with me and her father and "seconds" is not a term we use. We're stumped trying to figure out where she picked it up, but it sure is cute.

A HALLOWOG UPDATE

We have decided on a Halloween costume for The Wog.

She is going to be....

A CHICKEN!

A real picture to follow in approximately 50 days.

(The Wog's mother loves Halloween, if it's not already obvious...)

THE WOG'S PANCAKE PARLOR

Last weekend we finally made the trip up to Franconia to visit Polly's Pancake House. We were not dissapointed! The Wog was a big fan of the whole-wheat chocolate chip "'cake."

Here is the children's cup given to The Wog, which caused us to ask ourselves, "How did they know her name???"

Some info on Polly's:

Those pancakes didn't stand a chance:

The following day during snacktime, I asked The Wog if she wanted a banana or some crackers. Her response, "Ummmmmm. Cake!"

THE WOG HOLDS ONTO SUMMER A LITTLE LONGER

I was downloading pictures yesterday and discovered a forgotten memory card with pictures from earlier this summer. A few:

THE WOG'S PRETTY LITTLE SELF

Just a few pictures of The Wog being her busy, pretty little self.

Note: A picture was removed from this sequence as The Wog's father and The Wog's Minnie did not think it did justice to the pretty that is The Wog.

THE WOG SAYS "CHEESE"

This is The Wog's standard response when a camera is pointed in her direction:

This morning The Wog was busy defending her turf at the playground (meaning: charging with arms outstretched at any other child who attempts to climb nearby her while screaming, "No! No! No! No! No!" We're working on it.); a nearby mother posed her son on the slide and instructed him to say, "Cheese." The Wog answered in her loudest voice. Everytime the mother told her son to "say cheese," The Wog answered. The Wog, obviously, really likes to "say cheese."

WOGS ON A TRAIN

An under-the-weather Wog is not a good sleeper, and so the past week or so we've all been bleary-eyed and nappy. However, she's perking up, and we're optimistic for an 8AM wakeup (as opposed to her current 4:45) one of these days. But I have some catching up to do!

We were visited by Hank, Krista and family a week or so back, and we had a great time. The Wog ate pizza, played, played, played, and went on a train.

All-aboard! (Next stop: Total Chaos)

The Wog had a great time visiting with all her friends, but was particularly interested in Lila, who she called, for some as-yet-undetermined reason, "Nee-Nee."
It's a toss-up which interests The Wog more: "big girls" or puppies!
