SAY "CHEESE"!

The Wog wondered out of the room while I was on the phone in the den for a few minutes earlier today. I knew I was in trouble when she came back warning me about the "big mess! big mess!" I walked through the living room and the dining room, stepping over little piles of white who-knows-what on each rug:

In the kitchen I caught the partners in crime in the act:

The mysterious substance (once full, now empty)?

I read yesterday that babies born in 2007 are "Golden Pigs" according to the Chinese zodiac. This comes around every 600 years and ensures that babies born during this year experience prosperous and wealthy lives. Upon learning that The Wog's baby brother will be a "Golden Pig," I had to look and see what The Wog is. Why wasn't I surprised to learn she is a monkey?

WOGZAI!

The pulled one of her father's shirts out of the laundry pile, put it on, and proclaimed herself a princess. I accessorized the dress with the tiara and sash.

Here she is practicing her karate. Or "the robot."

CULTURED

The Wog and her father hit the local coffee shop this morning for a double espresso (The Wog's father) and a yogurt (The Wog). I received these photos on my cellphone a few minutes ago.

I don't think it's possible to look any cuter while eating yogurt.

READING IS WOGDAMENTAL

The Wog loves her books! She continues to adore "Harry the Dirty Dog," which caused us some distress recently as the book went missing. Every night she'd hopefully request "Dirty Dog?" and every night her father patiently explained that we couldn't find it. I tore up the room looking for it one day with no luck, but it finally turned up last night under The Wog's changing table.

Here she and her Daddy cuddle up for some downstairs, post-bathtime reading:

Finding The Wog's nose:

Finding's Daddy's nose...

...and cheeks...

...and head...

...and lips...

and topped with a kiss!

THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WOGGIN'

The Wog has some fierce pink snowboots, and has recent occasion to wear them frequently as we've finally gotten some real snow. Here she is, getting decked out to head outside and help her father with the shoveling.

In this picture, The Wog has discovered that it is more fun to pretend the hat is a purse than to continue trying to put it on her head.

A WOG, A DOG, AND SOME BOOTY

I brought home some Pirate's Booty from the grocery store yesterday, and The Wog is a fan! So is Piglet.

(The Wog does not usually eat ON the coffee table, but she looked so cute there that I had to take her picture before asking her to get down.)

IS ANY WOGGY HOME?

We returned a day ago from a long weekend stay with Minnie and Pop-Pop. The Wog enjoyed herself immensely; a few highlights included a trip to the Japanese hibachi restaurant, where she unsuccessfully attempted to blow out the fire a chef had ignited on a table across the room, and celebrating Aunt Mary Beth's birthday, during which she also attempted to blow out the birthday candles from about six feet away. The Wog overestimates her lung power. The Wog also enjoyed a visit with Aunt Gloria and Uncle Joe; a new purse and Cinderella doll ("Mah Barbie! Mah pursh!") from Minnie and Pop-Pop, and got herself a brand new haircut. The Wog helped feed my parent's dog, Maggie, every morning and afternoon; she took this responsibility VERY seriously and would immediately (and loudly) demand that Maggie eat as soon as the plate hit the ground. ("Come 'ere, Muggie! Eat da food!")

Once The Wog discovered she could escape from the Pack and Play, naptime and bedtime became a bit of a struggle. She'd climb out and then bang on the door yelling, "Hello? Hello? Open this door!" Mid-way through the trip she managed to lock herself into the room (after which we taped the lock so this was not repeatable), and Pop-Pop had to dismantle the doorknob to get her out while she yelled, "Is anybody home?"

In my quest to travel lightly, I left my camera behind. Luckily, Pop-Pop and Minnie sent along some photos.

The Wog had a great time and is already ready for her next visit!
