RAINY DAYS AND SATURDAYS ARE JUST FINE WITH THE WOG

We had a rainy morning, so The Wog got to don her new raincoat. Here she is with The Doodle, getting ready to head outside for a quick trike ride:

(She is clutching the new music box she picked out at the toy store this morning for completing her good deeds sticker chart. We tried to steer her away from the music box--she already has TWO--but she would not be deterred! She has spent the day tracking down and filling it up with "expensive jewels." )

A SICK DOODLE; A SLEEPY WOG

I just downloaded pictures from The Wog's father's iphone, and found some pictures I'd forgotten about. On the eve of Easter, The Doodle came down with a very high fever. When it hit 104.5, we headed off to the ER to meet up with our doctor, who happened to be on call that night. He turned out to be just fine, but was so pathetic while we were waiting for the test results:

Is taking pictures of a sick baby wrong?

Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa were visiting and stayed home with The Wog. They always encourage her to sleep in their bed with them; she is usually pretty happy to oblige. This is what we found in the guest room when we got home:

I DARE YOU....

...not to want to pick this kid up!

(I have a word to describe The Doodle: pickupable.)

HARE WOGNA

The Wog was a little wired last night, so her father taught her some meditation skills.

Yes, she is wearing a swimsuit. A swimsuit or a dress at all times!

HOW TO GET THE WOG TO EAT HER FRUIT

The Wog likes fruit but sometimes needs a nudge in their direction. So. Snow White sends special apples; Jasmine sends special bananas; and Aurora spends special oranges (Polly calls them "Aur-oranges). It pretty much works every time. Maybe Ariel would like to send some omega 3 fatty acid-laden salmon?

THE WOG GETS FRIENDLY

The Wog loves to go eat at "the nestaurant" so when her friend Lily called to invite her to lunch at Friendly's today, she jumped (literally jumped!) at the chance. I received this text message minutes ago from Lily's mom Laura (or as The Wog calls her "Aurora" but sometimes also "Allura") and it made my day. (Clearly The Wog recognizes the great significance of breaking bread in the company of good friends.)

THE WOG GETS A NEW SKI SUIT; THE DOODLE GETS A (FUTURE) USED SKI SUIT

Minnie was horrified by The Wog's less-than-waterproof snowsuit, so she bought The Wog a new one! (Considering that at the rate we're going we'll probably have snow on the ground in July, this was a more worthwhile investment than it might initially seem.) The Wog fell in love with this snowsuit despite one huge glaring fact I would not have expected her to overlook: a complete and total lack of pinkness. The sparkly flower hanging from the zipper pull flower might have helped the situation. Here she is, modeling with obvious pride:

If The Doodle's father has his way, here is the future wearer of the flower-laden, (faux)fur-backed green ski suit:
