THERE'S NOTHING SADDER (OR CUDDLIER) THAN A SICK WOG

She's never been a cuddler, but when The Wog's sick, all bets are off!

POLLIWOGS AND OLLIWOGS

Clint, Ellie and Oliver visited this weekend from Portland. Cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, feeding the "horses or whatever" and lots of pizza make for very tired (and happy!) babies.

Blueberries are good...

But Oliver's blueberries are even better!

Where are the babies?

There they are!

Oliver and The Wog enjoyed being towed along and were even spotted holding hands.

A few shots from Ellie's "Babies In the Snow" series:

The Wog had a great visit with Ollie and his parents!

THE WIGGLES AND THE WOGGLE

Today The Wog met the Wiggles.

Needless to say, she's a fan.

(Incidentally, The Wog's father called this an "old lady" outfit, but I like it.)

REEG-JECTED!

Regis Philbin must be blind.

BLIND I tell you.

CATCHING UP WITH THE WOG

It's hard to believe it's already March and that The Wog is now 16.5 months old. She's getting to be a big Wog! She's gaining more and more words and signs every day. Her current favorite is "ball." When's she's "reading" a book, she'll immediately flip to the page with the ball on it (or any kind of circle--oranges, etc.), and immediately begin signing and saying, "Bah. Bah." She also says car ("cah"), dog ("dah"), cat ("cah"). We joke that she's already got a New England accent. Her old favorites remain--duck and quack, both of which sound like "cuk"--and new additions include "shicken" (chicken) and "chissssss" (cheese).

Yesterday I was unpacking our bedroom (the unpacking just moved upstairs; I'm behind, obviously) and turned my back on The Wog for just a second. This is what I saw when I turned around:

The Wog is a BIG fan of packing peanuts and luckily she has finally determined that they are not as tasty as they look.

The Wog has also, finally, began participating in the craft after weekly Story Time at the local library. By "participating" I mean eating crayons and tearing up little bits of construction paper.

A WOG AND HER DOG (AND HER DADDY)

Polly loves dogs, and Pandora was a good one--gentle and devoted, if a little bit insane.

TGIW (THANK GOD IT'S WOGDAY.)

Every day is Wog Day around here!

The Wog had her first playdate this morning and very much enjoyed playing with someone else's toys and eating someone else's Cheerios. Apparently, toys are that much more fun and Cheerios are that much more delicious when they are not The Wog's own.

She is adding new words every day. She can't be relied upon to say any of them--not even "Mommy" or "Daddy"--but she loves surprising us with new ones when she feels like it. Yesterday she crawled right to a new pet (stuffed) frog, kneeled right in front of it, and proclaimed, "Pretty!" She can also do almost all of the animal signs in her "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" book. She can't do the sheep or the frog. Which is no surprise since her father and I don't know the signs for those two! She also bestows kisses with a loud, "Muh!" sound and let out a big, "Ah!" after taking a drink. We're trying to figure out which one of us she picked that trick up from.

Here are a few pictures from yesterday.
